Harvard sues Trump administration over ban on enrolling foreign students
Harvard’s response was swift. Less than 24 hours after its academic authorities received a letter from Kristi Noem, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), notifying them that she had revoked Harvard’s certification under the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) — and with it, its authority to enroll international students — the prestigious university filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on Friday. It aims is to obtain an injunction against the unprecedented measure.
