Maybe you know this: a list of faces, endlessly long. You look, you swipe, you write. Some reply, many don't. And after three weeks, a single sentence shows you that on one point it would never have worked – wanting children, smoking, the question of how far you would move for each other.
wanted.love works differently. Not because we know better than you, but because we do the work at a different point: before the first contact, not after.
You tell us who you're looking for
It starts with an interview of 25 questions. Five of them are mandatory, because these are the points where relationships actually fail:
- what age you're looking for,
- what you want – something steady, a marriage, closeness for now,
- whether you want children,
- where you stand on smoking,
- how far away the other person may live.
The other twenty questions are optional. They make the result more precise: everyday life, values, interests. You can pause at any time, continue later and change your answers at any time. Each question comes with a short sentence on why we ask it.
For the important questions you answer twice: once for yourself and once for what you can live with in the other person. That is what turns a profile into a search brief.
We search – by hand
First, your answers decide who is even an option – in both directions. It isn't enough for someone to match what you're looking for. You also have to match what they're looking for.
Then a person looks at you both: at the photos and at what you have written. Would you approach each other? Do you fit together in type, in presence, in the way you live? We'll say it openly: looks count too. Attraction can't be calculated, but you can see it.
No button that shows you new faces every five minutes. When we see someone who really suits you, we get in touch with you.
For us to suggest you, you need a photo that a person has approved. Without a photo, we don't suggest you to anyone.
What we check – and what we don't
We don't want to promise you anything here that we can't keep.
- New members verify themselves with a live selfie. A person compares it with the photos in the profile.
- A person checks every photo before it becomes visible.
- You can recognize verified members by their badge. Not every profile is verified – that's why we show it to you openly instead of claiming it.
- Only verified members can do more than look, for example get in touch or, if the interest is mutual, get to know each other on a video call.
We've written up how you can still spot a made-up profile in a separate post.
Why waiting is a good sign here
Nobody expects a matchmaking agency to come up with a hundred suggestions on the first evening. A few days without a message doesn't mean nothing is happening. It means we don't show you anyone just so you have something to look at.
The more complete your answers, the more accurate the suggestion. The five mandatory questions decide who is even an option. The other twenty decide how well it fits.
What it costs
Standard and Verified are free. Gold and Platinum are optional. If you buy, you buy one month and decide again afterwards. We don't offer a subscription.
Getting started takes five minutes
The five mandatory questions take just a few minutes to answer. You can add everything else at your own pace.
